What the phone needs, what the page states

Size and requirements: what the phone must have

Before an app is tapped, three things decide whether it will install: the size, the version of the phone's software and the language. The store pages state them, and each also states an age or content label. This page reads those lines on 6 November 2026 for the 10 listings.

Size, system, languages and labels

As each page states them; “not shown on the page” means the public page does not give the figure. Pages read here: the FxPro app, FxPro cTrader, MetaTrader 4 and 5 and cTrader in Kenya.

Size

FxPro cTrader: 247.4 MB on the App Store, which is 247,363,584 bytes, or 0.25 GB. MetaTrader 4: 21.8 MB on the App Store, which is 21,847,040 bytes, or 0.02 GB. MetaTrader 5: 36.7 MB on the App Store, which is 36,674,560 bytes, or 0.04 GB. cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts: 252.1 MB on the App Store, which is 252,069,888 bytes, or 0.25 GB. The Google Play web pages read here do not show a size, so this site has no size for the Play listings and does not estimate one.

The size is what the App Store reports for the current version; the page says nothing about how an update is delivered. A reader on a limited mobile plan can take it as the order of magnitude of one full download.

The system it needs

FxPro: Trading & Investing on Google Play: a minimum API level of 29, which is Android 10; FxPro Global: Trading Broker on Google Play: a minimum API level of 29, which is Android 10; FxPro cTrader on Google Play: a minimum API level of 29, which is Android 10; FxPro cTrader on the App Store: “Requires iOS 15.0 or later.” for iPhone and “Requires iPadOS 15.0 or later.” for iPad; MetaTrader 4 Forex Trading on Google Play: a minimum API level of 24, which is Android 7.0; MetaTrader 5 — Forex, Stocks on Google Play: a minimum API level of 23, which is Android 6.0; MetaTrader 4 on the App Store: “Requires iOS 13.0 or later.” for iPhone and “Requires iPadOS 13.0 or later.” for iPad; MetaTrader 5 on the App Store: “Requires iOS 15.0 or later.” for iPhone and “Requires iPadOS 15.0 or later.” for iPad; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on Google Play: a minimum API level of 29, which is Android 10; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on the App Store: “Requires iOS 15.0 or later.” for iPhone and “Requires iPadOS 15.0 or later.” for iPad.

A requirement such as “iOS 15.0 or later” means the phone must run that version of the software or a later one. For Play, the minimum API level is how the data of the page states it, not a line a visitor sees; the mapping from API level to Android version is the plain published one (29 is Android 10, 24 is Android 7.0). Whether an older build exists for older phones is not something the page shows.

Languages

The App Store lists the languages of each app. FxPro cTrader: English and 22 more; MetaTrader 4: English and 21 more; MetaTrader 5: English and 22 more; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts: English and 22 more. The first languages listed for FxPro cTrader are English, Arabic, Czech, French, German, Greek, Hungarian and Indonesian. The Play pages read here do not list the interface languages in the public text, so the table shows none for them.

A language list is a statement by the developer about the app's interface. It does not say that the broker's support, documents or account pages exist in the same languages.

Price and purchases

FxPro: Trading & Investing on Google Play: a price of 0 in KES; FxPro Global: Trading Broker on Google Play: a price of 0 in KES; FxPro cTrader on Google Play: a price of 0 in KES; FxPro cTrader on the App Store: “Free”, with no in-app purchases shelf; MetaTrader 4 Forex Trading on Google Play: a price of 0 in KES; MetaTrader 5 — Forex, Stocks on Google Play: a price of 0 in KES; MetaTrader 4 on the App Store: “Free”, with no in-app purchases shelf; MetaTrader 5 on the App Store: “Free”, with no in-app purchases shelf; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on Google Play: a price of 0 in KES; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on the App Store: “Free”, with no in-app purchases shelf.

“Free to download” is a statement about the store, not about the account: a store page says nothing about what trading costs. The broker's fee pages could not be read from this server on 6 November 2026, so no cost figure appears anywhere on this site. The Play pages read here show no in-app purchase notice in the text this site extracts.

Age and content labels

FxPro: Trading & Investing (Google Play): Rated for 3+; FxPro Global: Trading Broker (Google Play): Rated for 18+; FxPro cTrader (Google Play): Rated for 3+; FxPro cTrader (App Store): 16+; MetaTrader 4 Forex Trading (Google Play): Rated for 3+; MetaTrader 5 — Forex, Stocks (Google Play): Rated for 3+; MetaTrader 4 (App Store): 4+; MetaTrader 5 (App Store): 4+; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play): Rated for 3+; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store): 16+.

The labels come from two different systems and the pages do not explain the difference. A label on a page describes the app's content as rated, not whether trading is allowed to a person of a given age; that is a matter for the account's terms.

Downloads and where they are shown

Google Play states a download bracket: FxPro: Trading & Investing: 10M+; FxPro Global: Trading Broker: 100K+; FxPro cTrader: 100K+; MetaTrader 4 Forex Trading: 10M+; MetaTrader 5 — Forex, Stocks: 50M+; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts: 1M+. A bracket is a floor: “10M+” means at least 10,000,000. The App Store does not show a download count on the page; it shows the number of ratings instead. Comparing a bracket with a number of ratings and drawing a conclusion would be comparing two different things.

How old the listings are

FxPro: Trading & Investing: first published 4 February 2019; FxPro cTrader: first published 28 April 2014; MetaTrader 4 Forex Trading: first published 11 April 2012; MetaTrader 5 — Forex, Stocks: first published 10 October 2011; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts: first published 6 September 2021. FxPro cTrader on the App Store: released 5 May 2014; MetaTrader 4 on the App Store: released 2 February 2012; MetaTrader 5 on the App Store: released 15 January 2011; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on the App Store: released 5 December 2013.

A first-published date is the day the listing appeared in that store. It says how long the page has existed, not how long the company has existed and not how long the software has been under development.

Android versions and API levels

Google Play's page data states the minimum system as an API level. The ones met here: API level 23 is Android 6.0; API level 24 is Android 7.0; API level 29 is Android 10. An API level is the number Android uses for the version of its programming interface; the higher the level, the newer the phone's software. This site does not know which phones in Kenya are below the line, and does not guess.

How to read a download bracket

Google Play does not print an exact install count; it prints the floor of a bracket. FxPro: Trading & Investing: “10M+” means at least 10,000,000; FxPro Global: Trading Broker: “100K+” means at least 100,000; FxPro cTrader: “100K+” means at least 100,000; MetaTrader 4 Forex Trading: “10M+” means at least 10,000,000; MetaTrader 5 — Forex, Stocks: “50M+” means at least 50,000,000; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts: “1M+” means at least 1,000,000. Brackets step up through round numbers, so one bracket can cover a wide spread: “10M+” covers everything from ten million up to just short of the next step. The page does not say whether a bracket counts one country or all, and this site reads it as printed.

The trading account

An app listing is not an account

What these pages read is the store's side: the listing. Opening a live account is a separate step with the broker, with identity checks and rules that sit outside any app. Read the broker page before you decide, and do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
