Who publishes the listing, and under what name

A store listing carries one line that most readers skip: the developer name under the title. On 6 November 2026 this desk read it on 10 pages of the FxPro app, FxPro cTrader, MetaTrader 4 and 5 and cTrader in Kenya. This page sets them side by side with the identifiers, links and dates the pages give, and then reports what a search for “fxpro” returns in the Kenya App Store. It states only what the pages show.

The listings and the names they give

The developer name, the package or bundle identifier, the links the page gives and the first-published date. Pages read here: the FxPro app, FxPro cTrader, MetaTrader 4 and 5 and cTrader in Kenya.

What the developer line is, and what it is not

On Google Play the developer is the account that published the app; on the App Store the same field is called the seller. It is the name under which the app is distributed in that store and it appears next to the install button. It is not a licence, it is not a statement about who holds your money and it is not a guarantee that two listings carrying the same brand come from one company.

The identifiers behind the titles

A title can be copied; an identifier cannot be copied inside one store. Google Play pages carry a package name and the App Store a bundle identifier and a numeric id in the address. These are the safest thing to compare when you want to be sure you are looking at the same page again: search results change order and titles can be edited, while the identifier stays. Where an App Store id is listed in one country and absent in another, the identifier is also the way to tell that the entry is the same.

The App Store lookup for the Kenya storefront did not return the entry with id 1560667652, which is the App Store entry this site reads for the FxPro app; the storefront does not list it, so this site has no App Store figures for it.

What the descriptions say about the company

Some descriptions name the company behind the app in their own text. This is the developer's statement on a store page. It is not a registry entry, and this site did not check it against any register; a reader who wants to can compare it with the account documents.

The links the developer gives

A Play page lets the developer attach a website, an e-mail address and a privacy-policy link. For comparison, the broker's own website is fxpro.com. The domains a developer attaches to a listing are a public fact that a reader can set beside that address.

Descriptions of the same brand do not always describe the same kind of app. Where they differ, that is a difference between two pages, stated once here and not weighed.

A search for “fxpro” in the Kenya App Store

The App Store exposes a public search that anyone can query. Asked for “fxpro” in the Kenya storefront on 6 November 2026, it returned 20 results; 3 of them have FxPro in the title (the spelling “Fx PRO” counted too), and 1 of those 3 is published under a developer name other than the two used by FxPro's own listings. This site does not name other developers: a different developer name is a fact about a listing, not a finding about a company, and a reader can run the same search.

What the count shows is why the developer line deserves a second look. When a brand name is typed into a store search, titles that contain it are not all published by the brand; the line under the title is how you tell them apart and the identifier is how you return to the same page.

A routine a reader can repeat

Open the store page from a link you trust rather than from a search result. Read the developer name; if the title carries a brand and the name is not one you expect, compare it with the account documents you are given when you open an account. Read the identifier. Read the date of the last update and the rating together with its count. Open the privacy block and read it as a declaration, not as an audit.
